Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video we'll show you how to remove a rear door panel on this 2008 Equinox. Basically it's the same for any '05 to '09 Equinox as well as the Pontiac Torrent. Tools you'll need are a flat blade screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, 10mm socket with a ratchet and extension, and a door panel clip tool or a putty knife will work.

On the Rear panel I'm going to start right back in here, use a screwdriver and pry right out right there. You follow right up, and once you get them out, then that pulls right out. There are two 10mm bolts right in here. We'll fast-forward as I use a 10mm socket with a ratchet and extension to remove those. Now right in behind your door handle is a Phillips screw. Then I carefully use a little bit of force to pull the front of your cup out, then fold that out. Now you can use either a door panel clip tool or a putty knife will actually work. Slide this between your door and the door panel. Find each clip, slide down, find a clip, get right next to it, pull. Speed it up here as I work my around the door popping those clips out. Once you have the perimeter undone, this panel here, pull it out. Then there are two more pins right in the middle here. Give it a firm tug, and that comes out.

To reinstall, you want to make sure these rectangles line up into these slots. You get it up in there about where you think it goes, and you can feel it there in the right spot. Pound it all the way around the perimeter. Put this piece back on. Put your cup right back in and press the front in. Put your screw back in. Okay, speed up the film here as I put those two 10mm bolts back in, and when you tighten them up tighten nice and firm you don't want to over-tighten them. This panel hooks into the front first. Make sure you push it into the back here. You're all set.
