Hi, my name's Mike Green. I want to help you save time and money repairing your vehicle. I have 20-plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks. My company, 1A Auto, sells high quality replacement parts over the Internet. In this video, I'll be showing you how to install these parts. By the end of this video, you'll know how to install them and where to get them. That's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
This video, we'll be replacing the headlight on a 2004 GMC Sierra, basically the same as a '99 to '06 Sierra. It is a pretty easy process. It requires no tools. So, with that, we'll get you to it.
There are two pins that hold the headlight in right there and there, and you'll twist those out and pull them up. Then, the headlight basically comes right out. Then, once it's out, you can reach in behind and unplug the lights. They're basically just little teeth that you can kind of pull with your thumb, and they unplug.
Okay, now we're going to replace the headlight. At this time, you can obviously service the bulbs if that's all you're looking to do. So, they just twist in ... or twist out and twist back in. Then, our headlights come with that whole bracket and everything, so if you're replacing your headlights at this point, you're plugging them in and then everything should install just the same way. Plug them in, put the headlight back in there. Take your pins, put them down through. Obviously you have to make sure that the headlight is all the way back in and lock them into place, and your head light's all set.
Now, we'll do a quick test. Just make sure everything's working. The headlight, the high beam, and the signal are not working. Actually that side marker's not working, so we'll really quickly replace that, and then, you're all set. Hope this helps you out. Headlights are pretty easy to service on these GMC trucks.
